Wolf,
You do not need a RX, just direct your best EAR in the right direction. I have a German pegelmesser that covers 0 - 20 khz, it should be ideal for the job, its a faiirly recent model hi spec. Engineering a suitable antenna is another thing.
If I get time I will listen.

Subject: LF: "QRSS" on 82 Hz from Russia

Greetings all,

The Russian ZEVS transmitter is on air again, sending "QRSS"-like
signals with 4-minute element lengths on 82 Hz (!).
In western DL, the signal is clearly visible with an E-field antenna in
a 20 mHz FFT bandwidth (see attachment) .

The info quoted below was received from the VLF group.

Have a nice weekend everyone,
and hope to meet you on 136..
73, Wolf .

------------------------

Hello group

Since a couple of days the Russian ELF transmitter "Zevs", located on
the Kola
peninsula, has been active 24/4 with continous carrier at 82 Hz, with a
lot of
minimum shift keyed messages inbetween.

This is a fine opportunity to check the ELF reception capability of your VLF
gear.

Bit lenght is 4 minutes, bit shift frequency is 0.2 Hz. Lowest frequency
is 80.8
Hz, highest frequency is 83.0 Hz. 80.8 Hz is also "word separator"
between the
individual datawords.

Good luck.

Best regards

Trond J
