A very good question indeed, i think this is a capacitor, then short circuit
at the end also.
The wire parralel to the ground do not radiatate RF in LF.
In the NDB beacons, the top "mushroom" are short circuited. :0)
Any comment?

one question, I have bild up 3 parallel topwires 14m high and 20m long.
They have a spacing of 50cm.
At the moment the three ends are insulate.
Is it better to short the three ends, or better to insulate the ends??
