Hi again Marcelino, these can be succesful I got hold of a few in the UK a few years back they has longitudinal slots in them. maybe to reduce eddy currents in that application......the ferrite seems about right; I never built a rod antenna with them but did use them for tuning/loading a wire antenna to resonance. I don't understand either, after I saw that ad I found a manufacturer of ferrite rods here in Argentina that makes large ferrite rods for high frequency welding machines, up to 40mm diameter, but not as long, up to 20cm only, http://www.futurotrading.com/facetados_EN.html maybe there are similar manufacturers of these rods in Europe. 73, Marcelino - LU7DSU --- El lun 15-ago-11, pws <[email protected]> escribió: Hi Marcelino, Be welcome!
