Alan, and All,A divide by 100 is used fed from the transceiver output at its lowest setting and connected to a small dummy load. The division makes the TS450 solid as a rock at 137 kHz. with essentially NO drift and gives fine frequency readout and resolution. I am hoping that there is an internal potentiometer adjustment which I circumvent with a resistor or jumper to drag the shift down. If low shift frequency can only be accomplished with a chainsaw and sledgehammer approach, I will skip it as the rig will be used for HF and MF again when my experimental license for 137 kHz. expires next May. If someone can come up with a quick solution, the change will go in for tonight's transmissions. Thanks,J. |
