137 Khz is more quiet than 500 khz and a
superier band daytime for DX. MF 500 and 1800 khz are very similar with limited
range during daytime and enhanced propagation during night time.
500 has not been a success with only a few
participants, whereas 137 was brilliant at the beginning but unfortunately now
dropped off., possibly by the distraction of the introduction of 500.
Both bands have really fizzled out with only one
operator on each band!!
Where might the future be for both
bands, hardly a compelling case for continued licencing.
