RTTY using the 5 unit International Murray code is old HAT eg 24 is R 135 is Y etc and can easily be read from a tape or visual display and the normal speed is 50 bauds. Whether it was read by Ear is doubtful. g3kev ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Rabson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 11, 2012 11:24 AM Subject: Re: LF: opera 137 beacon going I was once told that some members of the Russian High Speed club could read 45 baud RTTY by ear.
