Dear LF Group
It is hoped that the special event station MB2HFC will be QRV on 136kHz from
the RSGB HF Convention being held again this coming weekend in Crawley, West
Sussex (IO91VC) at various times from late afternoon on Friday 6th October
2006 through to around 12.00 UTC on Sunday 8th October. The station will not
be continuously manned since operators may also be attending lecture
streams. Any visiting LF operators would of course be welcome to have an
operating spell.
If it is ready in time, Jim Moritz M0BMU hopes to run up his new design of
LF TX.. Alternatively, if the new TX is not available, then it is planned
to use one of the modified Racal Decca 5501 transmitters as in previous
years running about 1Kw RF into an inverted "L" antenna up at an average
height of around 20m AGL with both hand CW and QRS.
Further info will be posted on the Reflector as it becomes available.
