Hello Mike,
I've been playing with antennas for over 30 years
or so and I've had the
best luck with marine grade dacron. Sure,
it's a bit pricey, but that is
more than made up for by its longevity. More
recently I tried some of
the white nylon rope in a non-critical application,
and it still looks OK
after three or four years exposure to the
elements.

Subject: LF: Rope?
I am refurbishing one of my antenna supports. It is supported
by a large tree and is raised and lowered using blue polypropylene rope
(from B&Q).
Any advice from those more knowledgable /
experienced than me?
