Dear LF Group,
I saw "O" copy signals from VO1NA on 137.777kHz last night around midnight,
and noticed Joe was putting a "K" after his callsign, so I replied using
QRSS30 on 135.9235kHz. After the second attempt I saw Joe's reply, and the
contact went ahead with no problems and "O" reports both ways. Conditions
were much better than during our first QSO back in June, with perfect copy
at my end. VO1NA's beacon was "O" copy throughout the night, and until well
after dawn. I think this must have been the first "random" transatlantic LF
QSO without a pre-arranged sked.
I also had a QSO with S52AB yesterday evening, and saw "M" copy signals from
YO2IS, but got no reply. RU6LA, SM6BHZ, YU7AR anf OH5UFO were also good
signals
Cheers, Jim Moritz
