Friends,
Well, if you've ever wondered whether cold weather varies propagation, run
your theories to their limit by hunting for the VY1JA signal. It is -47 C
for the second day, at my location north of Whitehorse.
I am on my way to pick my son up from his work on an emergency telephone
answering system. When we go out in WX this cold, the tires will take a set
from standing overnight. It gives the all tires a flatish spot on one side.
The vehicle gallops along the road in a pattern not unlike the first radio
controlled model planes with what was called, "the galloping ghost"
proportional control. Anyone remember?
