Hello Alan, Scott and the list,

Thank you for the infos, very interesting in fact, this band is not so
empty, good!
On front of the receiver i use a bandpass filter ( Cheb. .2 dB ripple, 11
KHz BW , 7 poles)
to reject part of "QRM", the mixer is a SRA8 from MCL, the LO is a 5 MHz
OCXO
and some MMIC in buffer. The IF is a FT847 with 300 Hz Xtal filter.
My main problem is that the loop antenna is ~120m (~390') from the station
and i pick up
some crazy thing by the braid of the coax cable... The new preamplifier (two
match U430 Siliconix)
and CV tune system is not finish at this present time. Give me some time, i
am a novice,
just escaped from VHF!

Very deepest 73: Jeff

On the west coast of Canada there are two military stations at ~133.1KHz
and
~76.2KHz. They do turn off from time to time; however, they are presently
operating in what seems to be a "tuning" mode... Reports of these
stations
would be interesting for both myself (VE7TIL) and Steve, VE7SL as we are
both
authorized to operate on 2200m and we are both geographically very close
to
them... When they operate normally there they have a ~250-300Hz BW signal
that sounds like MSK heard much lower sent by the Americans in the 20KHz
band...

Scott
