Hi John ,Denis and Steve, I have just received a 3D spectrogram from Vaino
OH2LX, which covers 0702 to 0858z and  does not show any other signal of any
size in that frequency range out of Europe. So so "alien" may not be so
alien...???

Conditions were certainly not as good as we have seen, which as you say is a
good omen for other stations at greater distance ....and they do seem to be
improving !!
