The Datong converter I had had a PP3 9volt battery installed. It was
originally intended for listening to BC stations on an amateur rig at 28MHz.
I think it is notionally 10kHz to 500kHz ...there is a LP filter in the
antenna. There is a circuit diagram on one of my web pages....the direct URL

It does not like to work from a big antenna and may need some attenuation to
avoid IMD products.
