I have found over the years the best time to QSO with JAPAN on the lower frequencies  is their sunrise at present 2151 utc.

I have never worked any at their sunset although around this time of year it could be possible, although I have worked NZealand which is further away at both times. VE7 and KL7 I have found best before my sunrise. The mode used was normal audible CW.

I wonder if JA7NI is watching out this evening on 136.173 plus/minus a bit
