Hopefully the actual closure of two more N.European chains will convince
them it is a dead duck. The test will be Mar 2007 to see whether anyone
picks up finance to replace the Rugby station.
The first test Galileo sat was shipped out to the cosmodrome at Baikoneur
(or however they spell it !) on the 28th so the Eu countries will be deep
into financing that system soon. That will make Loran look like a trinket
when the open ended committment comes home to roost and there are no
"sponsors"

Cheers de Alan G3NYK

... the only question is who will provide a reference to calibrate the VFO
frequency now ;-)

Rugby I guess... :-(
