Well done! I remember my first contact albeit at -30dB and my first CW QSO with G3XIZ too.  Beats the pants off 20m ssb for wow factor!!

 

As the night progresses you may get further.  I got to Shetlands with my version one ground heater!

All of 3kms away (whoa DX!!) but I just got my first WSPR report on 500kHz:
