RU6LA QRSS Tests 8/9 November 2002
I ran Argo continuously from 1350UTC on Friday 8 to 1315 on Saturday 9
November, and took captures every 4 minutes. All stations sending QRSS3
except where shown. Here's the log:
1355: RU6LA seen with 10 watt beacon at good strength until 1350
1403: RU6LA sending QRSS60 (60 second dot length)
1450: RU6LA very good signal
1534: RU6LA still very good strength
1542: RU6LA weaker
1550: RU6LA poor signal
1606: IK5ZPV calling CQ at strength 'M'
1610: RU6LA with QRSS60 transmission at good strength
1651: RU6LA still good. IK5ZPV seen at 'M'
1711: IK5ZPV very poor signal
1733: RU6LA back to QRSS3 strength 'O'
1752: IK5ZPV working RU6LA
1811: F6BWO calling RU6LA. No reply
1817: F6BWO calls again. No reply
2028: RU6LA calling CQ. Excellent signal, audible at S2. No reply. [I was
watching television - a missed opportunity!]
2040: RU6LA calling CQ again. No reply
2053: Another CQ but signal now dropping
2104: RU6LA and OH5UFO visible
2115: M0BMU working RU6LA and exchanging 'O' reports. BMU receiving LA at
S3, but BMU not audible with LA.
2201: RU6LA calling CQ. G3XDV calls him
2215: RU6LA giving 'O' to DN1VLF but QSO lost
2228: RU6LA calling CQ. G3XDV calls him
2237: RU6LA sending 'O' again to DN1VLF
2243: DF6NM sending callsign
2248: DN1VLF giving 'O' report to RU6LA
2257: RU6LA signs and immediately QSOs DF6NM and gives him 'O' report
2321: RU6LA calling CQ "Rx 650 750". G3XDV and F6BWO both called. No reply
2352: OH5UFO calling CQs for the next hour
0024: F6BWO uses 10s dot speed to call RU6LA
0036: RU6LA calling CQ but quite weak
0044: F6BWO uses 10s dot speed to call RU6LA again
0052: RU6LA sending QRZ but quite weak
0104: F6BWO uses 10s dot speed to call RU6LA again
0116: RU6LA calling CQ again
0120: F6BWO goes back to 3s dot speed to call RU6LA again
0132: OH5UFO calling CQ. F6BWO calls but gets only a QRZ
No more activity until . . .
0706: RU6LA sending 10W beacon, strength 'O'
0750: Beacon drops in strength to 'M'
0818: Beacon ends, still at 'M'
0906: RU6LA again sending 10W beacon, strength 'M' to 'O'
0924: Beacon gets weaker to 'M'
1050: Beacon even weaker 'M' to 'T' by 1106
1124: Beacon back to 'M'
1154: Beacon weak
1202: Beacon ends
Nothing heard until . . .
1315: G3XDV calling CQ. No reply
