From G3PLX: I seem to remember a story of a farmer near the BBC Droitwich transmitter who was lighting his farm buildings with RF from the 198kHz transmitter, and the BBC took him to court for stealing their power. The judge wisely ruled that ONLY if the BBC could prove that the quality of reception was being adversely affected by the farmer's action, would they win the case. They withdrew of course. I wonder if the judge was a radio ham. 73 Peter |
