I had a very nice QSO with M0FMT this morning, still using 100mW, I am in the process of constructing a 1W erp PA.

It looks like LF/MF has died in the UK and the rest of EU.
There has never been more than 5 dedicatred CW operators interested in having a QSO that has now almost fizzled out.
500 khz has never really been a starter.
The only current activity seems to be Beacon mode on 505 khz but that adds little to the band because there are already hundreds of beacons active to choose from if one is interested in world wide propagation tests.
