LF: LPF thanks, and SWR core?

Jim,

Thanks for the good explanation again.  There are several items on the list 
from it.
The coils I wound are about 1" long and 4 inches in diameter and are glued 
in place with epoxy.  When I build my own amp, the filter will be in with 
the final, and will be using the ferrites for a size reduction to make that 
possible and to limit stray pickup.
Later today, (It is 5:00 AM) I plan to follow those of your ideas out which 
can be addressed now.

On a separate vein, I have some torroid cores removed from switching power 
supplies which are yellow with white (-52?), light green with blue (-26) and 
solid dark green (??).
Are any of these materials suitable for use as the SWR protective 
transformer core?
