Andy,
Can you confirm me if the GB3SSS transmission polarization, on 3597 kHz, is
fully horizontal?

GB3SSS from Poldhu, Cornwall, is back again for a few months. Only
this time it is transmitting on 3597.0kHz, for 80m Transatlantic
propagation tests over the winter months.
Transmissions are every 15 minutes, starting on the 00/15/30/45 minute
interval and use the same format as the 1.96MHz beacon last year, ie
callsign followed by two sets of 6dB power steps, then a PSK31 message
starting at the 30 second boundary.
The 5MHz beacon monitoring software available from :
http://www.rsgb-spectrumforum.org.uk/5mhz%20beacon%20monitoring.htm
can be used to automatically log this beacon, which appears on the red
trace as if it were GB3RAL.
