Hi John
I have always said if qrs is necessary USE IT but in the majority of cases
it is not necessary. I can hear the EU beacons in qrs both day and night at
good audio QSA and QRK and all the others that are active, so qrs is not
necessary, normal cw about 4 - 10 wpm would be suitable like the commercial
beacons around the same QRG area.
I am sure you rember we worked on CW both ends at 1413 on the 21 st july but
earlier that morning you were on qrs and I thought it would be more
convenient for you to continue on that mode, I did not realize you were
struggling on hand sent qrs 1.
Things have improved over the years where qrs 60 was the norm on 137 khz now
its qrs 3 and who knows it could be CW before long !!!!!
Sorry I missed you this morning.
I can hear DI2AM at present 579 and he is sending CW ID frequently, hence
good id - I do not need the computer switched on.
