Well, all right about the DST stuff. However you know i simply like transmitting so i usually do
not care about the condx. From time to time there is a surprise een in "bad" conds. Like
yesterday! 4X1RF temporary started his grabber in Haifa and to my surprise we got very good
results over that 2850km distance. About 25 dB S/N, see

Somehow missed your e mail so no report from here. With the DST at 'disturbed' levels it is
unlikely that I would have had reception of your signals. It might be a good idea to check
http://lasp.colorado.edu/space_weather/dsttemerin/dsttemerin.html for the DST levels before an
overnight T/A attempt. Generally speaking, condx are favorable when the DST has been at -10 nt or
better for a couple days. The second chart down shows that the 9th or 10th would have been better
T/A nights. The big dip starting on the 10th is a problem.

Once again i'm transmitting DFCW-90 on 136.172 kHz over the night. The TX is
already on air...
In a few days the sunshine time is as long as possible here, so it may be a bit difficult to
become visible in TA. But who knows...
At least the summer time allows excellent results on LF for distances below 3000 km. Probably
because the area in darkness is small on the northern hemisphere and so the noise from far away
is attenuated. So the distances within the first hop range may be a bit lower than in winther
but maybe the noise is even lower so S/N improvement of some dB results.
At least i've never been audible in winther at YO/4X1RF. We've done many tests and the radiated
signal was even 3 dB stronger than a few days ago where the signal became audible. Now i'm
thinking different about the possibilities of that band in the summer time!!
