Also over here good copy Cuxhaven Germany although very qrn
I observed also the QSY at tuning up ( abt 50 Hz )
and switchoff "wine" do no load, going back and qsy up 100Hz or so and then stop.
Using TEE- Antenna 12m / 20m topload, Mixer with Ne612, 29 Mhz xtal.( IF 29 MHz)

Signal was abt s-9 and abt 10db over noise floor.

Made a swl (LWL) report to saq

Dear LF,

SAQ signals very strong at this location. Could still be heard with 40dB attenuation in the antenna lead. My RX set-up was a MC1496 mixer up to 7.0 MHz and then into an ICOM PCR-1000. No preamp. I used my usual LF Marconi, but with a ferrite pot-core to resonate at 17.2 kHz.

I could clearly see the "spacer" signal during key-up periods (using Spectran). I think the whiff of hot oil and transformer varnish was a trick of my imagination!

Dear LF Group,

Good reception of the SAQ broadcast a little after 1230 utc today - the QRN level seems to be lower than it usually is when SAQ is active, so a nice clear signal. Today's broadcast message was about UNESCO inauguration of the site, paying tribute to EFW Alexanderson and recognising the impact of radio communications. Hopefully, the noise will remain low for tomorrow's broadcasts too.

Cheers, Jim Moritz
