Hi all at Tracey's request I have been thumbing through my old Electronics
Worlds. The data on the Zetex Mixer / filter chip type number ZXF30L01 is
obtainable from
http://www.zetex.com/pdf/ics/zxf36l01.pdf
the best set of design competition finalists are in the Nov 2001 issue
pp834-837. These include a Droitwhich frequency standard, an AM RX for 30kHz
to 700kHz, an ultrasonic detector, and an CW/SSB detector and CW filter
(800Hz) (I think this guy must have an SLMS !!) You need to provide a LO
for the latter. I have a mono GIF scan of that circuit which is slightly
too big (abt 45kB) for the reflector, but I will gladly forward it directly.
What I cannot find is the Farnell part number, I only have an old catalogue
but you should find it quickly through the web site....it may not be cheap!!
As an aside I do have a couple of Racal 5002 wideband (20MHz) LMSs which are
available for £50 each plus carriage. (they will both need new Li back-up
batteries)
Cheers de Alan G3NYK
