Hi All, I stated earlier that I was hoping for an opening around the middle of this month. This was based on an X class flare on 31st Oct. Allowing 14 plus days for the effects to decay should have resulted in suitable conditions about now. However there has been further Solar activity recently causing the Kp index to rise to 3 or more. This seems to mean too much absorbtion. So no beacon this weekend. I will watch conditions and advise if I think things look promising. 73 Laurie. |
