Mal's comments aside, "QRSS" arose as a way to differentiate CW described in words per minute from the slower variety best described in seconds per dot. "QRSS3" unambigously meant CW sent at 3 seconds per dot. There is nothing official about it, and no attempt has ever been made to incorporate it into the amateur radio lexicon. I believe that the discussion originated within the U.S. "lowfer" community, but I'm sure that Alberto will jump up and correct me if I'm wrong. John Andrews, W1TAG |
