Gary, thanks for that, yes my call is fully identifiable in your grab. It looks like I changed from QRSS10 back to QRSS3 during the period of the screenshot.

I always look on your Grabber for my signal in hope. I have not seen it yet, being broad band the chances are not so good on the UK Grabbers.

Hi Eddie,

I have been running SpecLab at QRS10 & have managed to get what appears to be your signal (200 represents 503.200 kHz), my loc IO83qo which makes the distance 188.9 km or 117.4 mls. Captured at 1245utc.

Thanks Dave and all the other reporters / lookers. I will leave the MEPT on all day and until well after dark for Rik and GM.

Dave, yes the modulation is very normal for me, 5 Hz FSK QRSS3. I will now switch to an odd mod, 5/5/5.

Hi, Eddie.

Screenshot attached. You are "O" copy here, and I think the QRB is about 100 km. The antenna here is a 20m "Tee" at 5m, and the RX is a Wandel & Golterman SPM-30 with a 24 Hz IF bandwidth

By the way, you are transmitting a hybrid QRSS-DFCW signal, which contains elements of both modes!

(With QRSS, one sends dots and dashes on a single frequency, and drop the carrier between characters, just like regular speed CW. With Double frequency CW, dots and dashes are equal length, but on mark and space frequencies, and the carrier drops between letters.)

Hi All

I am running my QRPp MEPT again this morning all reports welcome. Just a note on receiving the QRSS3. :-

Using Spectran in - Preset QRSS3 - from the - Mode - menu. With the standard settings and dial on the WSPR dial frequency 502.4KHz my signal will be around 800 on the Spectran Waterfall.

Spectran will run at the same time as WSPR so those looking for WSPR signals can spot the evil Data and evil non qso Visual QRSS at the same time.

Frequency 503.22KHz

Modulation QRSS3 FSK, mainly, I do vary it, maybe some periods of 5/5/5 Morse

Power 500mW at 50 Ohms

Total current consumption 96mA at 12 Volts

Antenna 6m Top Load Vertical

ERP >1mWatt
