I use a Linear PSU which I find convenient because on the Primary side I use
a variac and I can control my voltage output from 0 to 65 Voltss
I know some SMPSU'S allow voltage variations but most do not.
The advantage of the smpsu is Size compared to a Linear psu.
I suppose there are better ways if the mains PSU, is incorporated with the
amplifier design. Portable stations many variations

The SMPS has a fault again :-/ I am to close to the power limit and a
SMPS as a load of a SMPS always keeps the supplying SMPS on its current
limiting, which fails after some time...
