Hi Jay thanks for that, I must admit having some thoughts in the same
direction. The levels did seem to be a bit heavily depressed. Steve's DCF39
plot  has always been slow to recover which I have decided is due to the
multiple passes through the D-layer ( your part 5 stations would probably
only have one) but it is difficult to retain some sort of a local
calibration. I did notice the noise seemed a bit lower than normal which is
sometimes a pointer.

I did notice that the strong signals on Jean-Pierre's captures appeared
mosting in the pre-dawn period  0400z to 0600z  Steve's plot shows the
lebels ramping up again during the early part of the night..
