There was a further X10 flare at almost exactly that time – but it seems surprising to me that a flare could have such an immediate effect after sunset – although perhaps the F layer would still be in sunlight at 2045utc?

 

I have not looked at my overnight 137kHz screen captures yet, but listening briefly last night, there seemed to be remarkably little QRN on the band apart from some occasional loud crashes which I took to be local thunder activity. There were also fewer and weaker spectral lines around the 137.77kHz region compared to usual.
