{"id":720,"date":"2018-01-09T20:47:41","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T20:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/?p=720"},"modified":"2018-01-24T10:23:22","modified_gmt":"2018-01-24T10:23:22","slug":"most-na-wisle-elementem-anteny-czyli-eksperymentow-z-dipolami-ziemnymi-ciag-dalszy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/en\/2018\/01\/09\/most-na-wisle-elementem-anteny-czyli-eksperymentow-z-dipolami-ziemnymi-ciag-dalszy\/","title":{"rendered":"A bridge on the Vistula river as an element of an antenna \u2013 earth dipole tests continued"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Encouraged with the outcome of latest earth dipole tests I decided to continue testing of those interesting antennas.<\/p>\n<p>This time, however, I aimed at:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>testing the possibility to transmit in 136 kHz<\/li>\n<li>checking how a good quality electrode will impact the antenna<\/li>\n<li>confirming that an earth dipole can work effectively above the ground with low resistance<\/li>\n<li>testing an antenna of this length to be able to receive signals at the lower end HF<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I used a 0.6 mm copper plated steel pole (due to cost and no alternatives available). Resistance for the pole was over 1kOhm. The cord was spread across the field lying on the grass or in the bushes at the height of 0 \u2013 2 meters above the ground level.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-712 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-drut-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"411\" height=\"548\" srcset=\"https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-drut-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-drut-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-drut.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 411px) 85vw, 411px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The antenna was placed max 15 meters above water at the banks. I used a nearby bridge as an electrode. The bridge\u2019s dimensions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>982,5 m long<\/li>\n<li>18,6 m wide (the deck was 12 meters)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-715 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-most-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"611\" height=\"458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-most-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-most-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-most-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-most-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/klubnl.pl\/wpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/baldowo-most.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This bridge was restored in 1950, that\u2019s why I doubt that after 68 years all elements are well grounded. A 10mm wide and over a dozen meters long aluminium strip was dipped in water and served as the other electrode. The entire antenna including the bridge was ca. 3 km.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-714\" 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Specifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50-250kHz antenna impedance was 800\u2126<\/li>\n<li>the resistance of the bridge at 70Hz was below 1\u2126<\/li>\n<li>the resistance of the antenna for DC was over 1k\u2126 (1000\u2126)<\/li>\n<li>the resistance between the antenna and the ground for DC was ca. 80k\u2126 (80000\u2126)<\/li>\n<li>the resistance of entire antenna for DC was ca. 2k\u2126 (2000\u2126)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is how it worked at LF and MF<\/p>\n<p><a Below you\u2019ll find a signal received in Gda\u0144sk (40 km away). Below you\u2019ll find the antenna working in 3,7MHz and 7MHz.
