Hi Eric Mica probably ok in compression but I would have worries about it taking the strain of the wire. Also might not rain get into it and crack it in the frost?? It sounds too good to waste. Cheer

Hi Eric I am not sure about dacron.....but it might not be the conduction through the water laden "rope" it might be that you have a corona problem. At that power level its like playing a small flame
