MF, To my big surprise there were 2 decodes at WD2XSH/17 last night on 630m. The QRN was terrible last night and there was a LOT of rain so the losses were high, hence the ERP was quite low! Timestam
PS: This detection happend exactly to the time where the grey line curve was symmetrical between the 2 locations, see https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19882028/MF/DK7FC-WD2XSH-17.png 73, Stefan PP
Hi, Dimitris, LF. Thanks for posting an interesting article on QRP WSPR. I've been experimenting along similar lines, but in my case I'm using a QRP Labs Ultimate 2 kit, which uses the same DDS as yo
Hi Stefan, It is the 21st of June, which is the shortest night in the year here! Anyway there was a propagation like in winter! Interesting. Could be due to the small area in darkness in the northern

Hi Stefan, VK dominates WSPR in numbers but not in records - yet! :-) I have been busy with university homework but that's finishing now, so I will get busy with radio again. My latest experiment is
We found 500 carried much better than top band , by running qrss beacons and inducing 'Beacon Bedlam' , south of Watford gap .... which was quite handy as it left us in the frozen north to get on wit
Hi Dave, There are no problems here operating portable on 630m. The only problem with portable operation is that it is hard to provide a low impedance ground system. At home, I have a number of coppe

Hehe, for our modest transmitting stations here in east coast of Australia, "further away" is either New Zealand or Western Australia - Europe counts as "too far away"! ;-) 73, Dimitris VK1SV
Hi Dimitrios, Don't forget to consider wire loop antennas for 630m. My QRP set-up has got reports from Finland for 3 autumns running at around 1800km with just a thin wire loop in the garden. With th
