If timing slips, the averaged power will be out by the amount of slippage.  So, for a 1 second error the total power summed over the window is 4/5, or about 1dB down.   For 2.5s slippage, -3dB   BUT.

Andy, Q .. If the tx is keyed by vox/breakin will the slight clipping of the leading edge of the beacon cause time problems ?? reason being .. if use force 'tx' will miss the beacon rx windows ?? Tnx
