It is difficult enough to be heard/seen with 1W erp on LF never mind QRP. QRP on LF is a waste of time for those wishing to be heard outside their own back yard using an elevated antenna. A grounded

Hi Mal, LFers, I beg to differ. My LowFER beacon on 188.830 kHz. has been copied solid at over 1200 miles! Not bad for 1 WATT D.C. INPUT into a "T" antenna and using QRSS30 mode! 73, J.B., VE3EAR
About 250 km not scheduled QRSS3 QSO. IK4JSJ's Tx was a TDA2002, 3 watt. Fine signal. 73 Claudio, IK2PII -- Claudio Pozzi - Happy Linux User - http://www.qsl.net/ik2pii Attachment: ik4jsj-3w.jpg Desc
Righto Mal - so when will we finally see a decent 9 kHz signal from that famous Scarborough antenna? 73, Markus (DF6NM) From: [email protected] mal hamilton Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2011 7:28 PM
Markus I have made it quite clear that presently I am not interested in Transmitting on 9 khz and if I did you would certainly hear me. I am told that I have the strongest signal on 137 and 500 khz f
Why do some insist on flogging QRP on the LF bands. The object should be to generate a signal that all can hear or see. QRO is more appropriate on the lower frequencies otherwise the RX operator has
I agree Pete. Mal's signal would be a very welcome one on 8.97kHz and the thing preventing many of us VLF enthusiasts from TXing (other than by earth mode) is lack of space for a credible antenna. Ma
Or a wideband view of what you can see at VLF... :-) ...... Righto Mal - so when will we finally see a decent 9 kHz signal from that famous Scarborough antenna? 73, Markus (DF6NM) From: g3kevmal@talk
Hi Mal and LF Too bad Mal you have a good set up to radiate on 9kc/s to help the interest in this part of the spectrum. Most can not TX on that band because they just do not have the space with an ex
About this time last year I seem to remember sending some narrow bandwidth SMT Hell sigs at powers of a Watt or so. With the QRP discussion going on recently, is anyone interested if I set up this be
With Ron's (G6RO) recent success with 5w on qrp maybe the time has come to allocate a spot frequency for qrp activity. I have noticed that Ron has been calling cq on top of other qso' a number of tim
