Hi all, Since a few minutes, the octo soundcard became part of my portable VLF/ULF recorder based on the Raspi. I did not follow the dicsuccions on the yahoo groups. For now i can tell that the sound

The Octo is working quite nicely with vlfrx-tools. Getting less than a uS timing jitter on a good clean PPS. The card actually delivers 8 input channels but chans 7 and 8 are silent. To get the thing

The only thing I have to sort out now is the timing pulse. it looks horrible on vtscope, a sort of double humped thing and the timing doesn't have anything like the values shown on your vtscope scree

I'd guess you have some high pass applied to the shaped PPS, perhaps the input stage of the Octo? Does it look anything like http://abelian.org/vlf/tmp/170617a.gif Is it possible to reduce the PPS pu

Then there's a high pass getting in the way, must be the input circuit of the Octo. You'll have to use a shorter PPS. 2mS to 5mS ought to do it. Yes, Linux can use any GPS for timing, the daemon gps
