Can someone tell me the current status of the 136kHz band in Australia and New Zealand, please. Does a 185kHz allocation still exist? Mike, G3XDV

New Zealand has the band from 130kHz to 190kHz. No one over here is using it at present though, as current activity is centered around the 630m band. We have 5w EIRP for LF and 25w EIRP for 630m, tho

Hi Mike, we never had a 185 kHz band in OZ. From memory, many years ago, some individuals got scientific licences and did some experiments there, but it was never an open-to-everyone band. We do have
