The EVM56002 is obsolete anyway, they are like gold dust now !! Motorola do an updated one with the 56300 (??) but it is very expensive and will need EVM software to be modified. Is 16 bits essential

How about letting it go slow enough for a 30s dot or a resolution bandwidth of 0.01Hz - as far as I know the only soundcard software that could get anywhere near this and do proper SLOWCW was Spectra

I don't know about the mic input, I woulf have thought an ALC action on this input was rather dependant on the particular machine / soundcard in use, but it certainly does not apply to the line input

About 600 Watts, and judging by the (cold) heatsink temp with a small fan could be be tempted to try increasing power to destruction - under controlled conditions of course ! This PA does not lend it

About 95% correct I reckon Jim, I think the overlap betwen turn off and on is a function of the FET itself, and turn off will always be faster that turn on even for an infinietly steep drive waveform
