Dex can only move in 1Hz steps so it would have to be 8270.

Not sure what happens when Joe is almost on the same
frequency.   Quite different code settings so each signal
is spread out to just become a slight increase in background
noise for the other.   My guess is negligible effect
unless one is a lot stronger than the other.

Distance W4DEX to RN3AUS is huge: 8280 km.  That's going to
be tough!   No carrier measurements to suggest code settings
or estimate how many nights to stack.

One character messages, they are problematic with false
decodes at low rank and high Eb/N0.  All you can do is let
the decoder decide the strongest and report that. Two chars
is better in that respect.
