Hi all,

Andy posted his original request at the Yahoo lf group - can any blacksheep help him concerning free VACs for Win 8?

Danke Tom.

I have been trying to understand if it is me, or the remote end, and now I'm starting to think it is me :-(

Can anyone recommend a free virtual audio cable ?

I'm using Win 8 here.

Hello Andy,

once I had the same problems. You can eliminate them by installing a virtual audio cable (VAC) in your PC instead of using a direct coupling between output and input of the soundcard by wire.
Sorry, I don´t remember the reason for this effect, but there will be enough freaks here to explain it ;-) . Some VACs you can get free of charge via www.

73 and good luck,

I've been trying to use various online receivers for monitoring QRSS signals for a while now.

I just feed the audio from the audio o/p to the mic socket on the sound card and then let Argo do the rest.

But I keep seeing  a problem, frequency jitter.

It's like the remote SDR has a frequency stability issue, and it's on all of them :-(

Could it be my end, or is it that these sdr's a re probably al using cheapo dongles that suffer a bit when

there#s a lack of remote end processing power or something ?
