The Elasticsearch engine used within the groups.io service is fast and effective and doesn’t have a dependency on Google or other search engines. Visibility is just a setting on the group config. The archives cover from 2002 onwards. Almost as good as a real email reflector in fact. Definitely a great replacement for clunky old Yahoo though.
