You see the signal from the guide rail is stronger than from my large antenna on the top of the building, with similar power levels and distances. What an easy construction! No coils, no high voltage. Any day you don't TX on that guide rail is lost for the season :-) You wrote it is 1 km distant from your QTH / shack, right? Cliff edge. Does it mean you're living 1 km distant from the sea? Can you throw a wire into the sea from the edge, to gound the wire into the sea instead of the guide rail? 73, Stefan
