It seems I inadvertently intruded on an aspect of amateur radio which doesn't favor newcomers. It is always best to learn as many technical details of a thing as possible but this particular philosophy eludes me completely. This is an excellent way to limit the growth of EbNaut, but I've been thinking it over and realized perhaps that is exactly the idea behind it. The open question for me is what is Paul Nicholson's position on this. Paul, I believe I owe you an apology. As an amateur radio operator of long standing I tend to think all developers of new modes who make the work freely available would want the mode to be openly used and enjoyed. I also tend to believe the long standing amateur radio tradition of helping each other learn applies universally. It would seem not to apply in this case. I would very much appreciate your input. If you wish to limit the growth of EbNaut use or agree with the idea that it should only be open to those who are able to learn everything on their own, kindly let me know please. In that case I will immediately delete the web page I had started and will not intrude again! Best wishes and Happy Holidays, Paul N1BUG
