Thanks for looking on that receiver! -7.5 dB for 4 characters during a suboptimal time period, that's fantastic! We are very close to a first east-to-west VLF TA decode/detection i think. I will try to run more antenna current this evening and i will use just a 1 character message. That could work! Please, could you check how deep the last 3 character message is buried in the noise on that RX? The timing is close to optimal and just 3 characters, so the Eb/N0 could be -5.x dB? What about the other receivers on your list http://abelian.org/vlf/ There are even farer distant monitors. Maybe you know the operators and the performance of their system. Is there another one which could have a chance to decode a message. > > Recommend starting a bit later, say 00:00 or 01:00, > and maybe we do some stacking too? Unfortunately the SR is just 32 kS/s. With 48 kS/s we could check when the terminator of JXN and HWU appear there. So i will check when the sunset will be there by using google earth. Stacking will be required, at least for longer messages. It will be interesting how this works on sch a distance! 73, Stefan > > -- > Paul Nicholson > -- > >
