I've updated the list of results at http://abelian.org/vlf/amateur-radio Sometimes normalisation helps, not always, sometimes it makes it worse! Certainly with a transmission that straddles day and night conditions it is worth a try. The -a value is the number of symbols width of the sliding normalisation window. With 100 second symbols you might do a little better with say, -a 20 The carrier Eb/N0 is a lot lower than the estimate from BER. Sometimes that's because there's some interference in the input band and that adds to the background noise measurement. -- Paul Nicholson --
