That means you have to use a different value for the -a automatic threshold option. Prior to version 8, a typical night setting would be -a 1.2 and daytime might be -a 2.5. For version 8 onwards it is more like -a12 and -a25, if in doubt use about 10 times the old setting. You can also use a longer time constant, eg -t 100 with version 8, where before -t 10 seemed to do best. -- Paul Nicholson --
