You'll probably have to drive it in common mode via a loading coil so that it functions as a monopole. Will it stand up to 30kV or so? Is there much interest in VLF in your part of the world John? There's a very good receiver at Forest (near Lynchburg) Virginia 37.35348N,79.19450W which you should be able to reach without too much trouble. It is on all the time and records into a 20 day loop so you don't even need to announce transmissions in advance. -- Paul Nicholson --
