Or other? I have been planning to make a Matlab impulse post-processor that fills with interpolated values for use in noisy locations; wondered if the SpecLab sferic blanker already interpolates. 73, Jim AA5BW -----Original Message----- From: owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org [mailto:owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org] On Behalf Of Paul Nicholson Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2017 4:54 PM To: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Subject: Re: LF: VLF/ULF activity weekend 21th/22th Looks good Stefan. I'll be looking for your signals. I assume the daily 100 character 5170 transmissions will be off until Monday. Currently I'm testing some changes to the sferic blanker. I can't really improve on the settings I've been using for years at 8270 but at lower frequencies it is possible to gain up to an extra 2dB. I mentioned the other day about the use of a separate channel for triggering. Also I've altered the noise floor tracking, using an asymmetric time constant to good effect. -- Paul Nicholson --
