Indeed it's a good point, if the GPS isn't only used for frequency calibration but also for absolute timing. I looked at Paul Nicholson's principle of centroid calculation (to find the "center" of a very short sync pulse) in vlfrx-tools/vttime.c, and guess it's be applicable if we rely on the soundcard's "built-in" lowpass filter. The centroid calculation for the GPS sync pulse will be added in the next build.
